Top Moments

The one thing every bride says is that this day flies by. You likely have spent more than a year planning, and then you blink and it’s over. So “Don’t sweat the small stuff,” “Take time to enjoy every second,” and “Eat!” are common recommendations from our featured newlyweds. What we love to read as well, is their take on the top moments of their biggest day ever. Here are a few of our favorites.

"Seeing all our guests react to the sign plane that flew over
during the cocktail hour."
-Caroline and Andrew, Avalon Yacht Club

"Our first look before the ceremony and reciting our vows with our toes in the sand."
-April and Nicholas, Avalon Links at Avalon Golf Club

"When we snuck out of our reception to play with sparklers!"
-Danielle and Bryan,
The Grand Hotel

"'The Bride Flies” – a family tradition where a few of the men lift the bride during the song, “I’ve Had the Time of My Life.” Tradition has evolved to now lifting the bride briefly, then the grooms, bride’s parents, groom’s parents, etc… It’s both ridiculous and hilarious, but meant to truly welcome the groom’s family into our crazy (yet fun) family."
-Briana and Patrick, ICONA Avalon

(This one is from the groom!)
"Being introduced at the reception as Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Alleva and carrying my wife in my arms surrounded by all our friends and family!"
-Katie and Ryan,
The Reeds at Shelter Haven

"Our first dance. We had practiced once before and were not quite sure how confident we felt going into it in front of 150+ guests. The moment we shared together and whether it was only in our heads, we felt like our dips and twirls were our best yet!"
-Bonnie and Bill,
Yacht Club of Sea Isle City
