Sláinte! Danielle and Steven met on St. Patrick’s Day over a pint of Guinness and the rest is history! What we love about this couple was the groom’s perfect planning of a proposal. Steven’s parents, members at the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor, assisted in planning the perfect rooftop proposal at the club. And while everyone, even the general manager, knew the plan, Danielle was clueless.
After a quick yes, it was decided that the newly renovated club was the perfect place for a ceremony and reception. Danielle and Steven welcomed guests to their favorite shore town, Stone Harbor, with a rehearsal dinner at The Reeds at Shelter Haven and got their wedding weekend started!
The theme was classic and elegant with white florals, greenery and candles throughout. The on-site ceremony took place bayside, where Danielle wowed guests and her new husband in a Limor Rosen gown. The couple’s best friend was ordained just for this occasion and performed the nuptials as the sun set over the bay.
Special touches to highlight the couple’s love for the shore included favors of Johnson’s Popcorn and saltwater taffy at every setting. In addition, employees of local ice cream parlor Sundae Best arrived following dinner to dish out sundaes with a variety of flavors, including their signature Avalon Mud.
Hooray! The Bake Works presented a fun twist to a classic cake with a tiered cake covered in rainbow sprinkles, featuring vanilla cake and cream-cheese filling.
After sneaking away for some signature sunset photos, the couple danced the night away and kept the celebration going with the after-party at the Windrift Hotel Resort. Bon voyage! Following the best day ever, the couple set off for a romantic Italian honeymoon in Florence, Positano and Rome.
“Trust the process,” Danielle says. “Trust your vendors and your day will be perfect!”
What we love:
Love is sweet! A colorful cake design, an ice cream sundae bar from Sundae Best, Johnson’s Popcorn and “Mommom’s” Italian homemade cookies. We love how this couple accomplished the perfect array of sweet treats for guests to enjoy!
